PRAYER WALKS

The Cherry Hill Prayer Walk is a community event that begins with a walk that winds through the streets of Cherry Hill making multiple stops for prayer and fellowship with the community. The stops are in areas where weave through some of the more “active” corners in the neighborhood and one of the stops is the site where founder Michael Battle’s best friend was murdered. At each stop a person leads the crowd in prayer as participants hold hands and reach out to community members to join the event. The walk will end with a celebration involving live music, moon bounces, face painting, free food and pony rides.  There are all types of resources offered including mental health support, doctor exams, workforce development, record expungement, along with haircuts, school supplies, and nonperishable items donated from local couponers.  The entertainment is local and national recording artists. The entire event is supported by the time, donations, and volunteering of local community members (past and present) of Cherry Hill.
